Balloon flight Hampshire

In Hampshire we fly our hot air balloon from Cheriton in the west through West Meon and to Petersfield in the east all of which are just off the A272. To the North we have launch sites at the villages of Selborne and Rake. We also launch from just south of Farnham at the hotel Groomes. Given the problems of flying balloons over water we recommend the same sites to the residents of Southampton and Portsmouth.

As the western end of the South Downs National Park is covered by Southampton Airports air space we effectively fly our hot air balloons in East Hampshire. But as we rise in our hot air balloon to 1000 feet over Cheriton you can actually see Winchester and the M3 which form the parks western boundary.

When we fly our hot air balloon to height on a clear day the South Coast can be seen from any of our launch sites. This combined with the surrounding South Downs mean that flying in this area affords views that will match any in the country.
