Balloon flight Rake

Rake is on a 300 foot ridge which is the start of the so called rolling hills as you move east through the South Downs National Park. If you are visiting from outside the area and would like to stay in a four star Inn then The Flying Bull will be of interest to you. We launch our rides balloon from the garden at the back of the Pub.

This tends to be a 360 degree site. That is we can launch our hot air balloon from here no matter what the wind direction is. Over the last few years we have been able to observe the progress of the new Hindhead tunnels which now they are open have remove this local traffic bottleneck. And allowed the heathland of the Devils Punch Bowel to be joined with its eastern neighbour.
