Balloon flight Winchester

Due to the increased activity at Southampton Airport it is nolonger possible to fly from the city. But by traveling a short distance east into the South Downs National Park you can experience a hot air balloon flight and provided it is clear enough even see the city of Winchester in the distance.

Cheriton is the closest village down the A272 and we fly from The Flower Pots Inn to the west of the village.

If the wind on the day is an easterly you may have to travel a little further to West Meon or even Petersfield.

As the New Forest is a no fly zone for hot air balloons the alternative is to travel a long way west.
